It’s 0917.

So far today, here are the things I’ve done:

  • Woken up (Obviously)
  • Quickly got dressed
  • Drove to Oakleigh (while eating and drinking on the way)
  • Got to Oakleigh
  • Got dressed (Further)
  • Twirled around for a bit while passing a piece of vulcanized rubber back and forth and slamming into people dressed as if they’re about to take on the Transformers
  • Got undressed
  • Gone to McDonald’s for breakfast
  • Gone to Cheltenham to see Sam play baseball
  • Driven past Grandma’s to pick up something for Mam
  • Came home
  • Showered
  • Ate some more
  • Checked emails (and sent a few)

and now posting this.

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten up that early.

In other news; fairly eventful week, with lots of assignments, SAC’s and other boring stuff; followed up by a bomb … scare? – I dunno, I thought it was pretty funny when I heard about it (I was at the surgeons, but that’s another story); followed up by pretty much plotting the entire lighting rig for Metamorphoses (In May, come see it); and a fair bit of hockey. Baseball starts up in a few weeks, so I’m glad I’ve got a bit of time off before I’m back into it again.

And that is that,

The End.

Opening Day 3258-2155-061

Baseball’s back!!!

Tonight (Ie as I’m posting this), the Boston Red Sox (Best team in the universe) plays the Oakland Athletics (meh, better than the Yankees) in Tokyo. Yes, Tokyo. Don’t ask me why, but I’m not complaining because it means I get to watch the game at NORMAL TIME. Not 1000 while school’s on.

It’s the first series of the ‘08 season, and it’s been too long. (Don’t get me wrong, I love my hockey and football, but nothing beats watching the Sox) Currently, it’s the top of the Third, with the Sox down 2-0… Turns out hometown-hero Matsuzaka isn’t coping with the comeback game as well as we hoped. Oh well, there are another 161 games in the season until playoffs (And don’t discount this game just yet, it’s only 2-0, ^3).

I’m currently sitting on my couch with my 42″ Panasonic Viera with ESPN2 on, with a (what else) Budweiser in hand.

Damn I love baseball.

Well another production draws to a close.

Although I haven’t mentioned it much (if at all), the 2008 year 10 production, ‘Children of the Black Skirt’has come and gone.
Suprisingly, it was a really enjoyable play (especially for a year 10 production), with the cast this year being much better than last year’s.

The lighting was also pretty darned complex for a year 10 play, with 92 cues over a 47 minute play, easily beating last years play which had about 30 cues in total. (I could count, but that means going to my bookshelf and finding the script, etc…) From what I’ve heard, the play was well-received, which is also a promising thing.

‘Metamorphoses’ is coming along at a fine rate of knots, with rehearsals been going since last year.
Rehearsals step it up a notch in a couple of weeks, and then the real fun begins (all over again).

The ‘Teaser’ posters for Meta have been finalized, and I must say, they will certainly draw much attention in the following weeks. (Viral advertising at it’s greatest) I especially liked Iain’s portrait of King Midas, entitled ‘Greed: Money is a good thing’, with him holding a wad of $50 notes and a wine goblet.

The show looks to be an absolute classic, and you should most certainly keep it in the backs of your minds over the next month or so.

In other news, Ice Hockey team selections are tomorrow, which I’ve been looking forward to for a while; with the first game on 5 April.

And that is that,

 The End.

It all comes down to this.

The New England Patriots’ incredible (18-0, best *ever*) season all boils down to a final 60 minutes on Sunday (well Aus’ Monday), where they will face off with the New York Giants for the title of “Invincible”. If the Patriots win ($1.20 odds-on favorites), they will be forever immortalized as “The Team”. Not “A team that won” but, “THE TEAM”. If the Giants win, the Patriots will forever be known as the team that was oh-so-close to perfection.

Coverage starts at 0800 tomorrow on Fox, with the kick-off at 1000.

For what it’s worth,

My money’s on the Pats.

Well it is now the year Two Thousand and Eight.

What a year 2007 was, with a heap of things happening, but I won’t write a list because it could go for a while. This morning I ushered in the new year with a fireworks celebration that went off with a bang. Although one of them malfunctioned and the concentrated jet of its thrust burnt a hole through the blast plate I had made (Which was made out of relatively thick aluminum). Just shows that you can’t trust the chinese…

I hope everyone had a fantastic new year’s celebrations, and bring on the new year!

And that is that,

The End.

Well what I mentioned in my last post has finally been announced,
Derek Scott is the new principal. (I couldn’t say what it was precisely, until it had been announced – for obvious reasons).
I found out on Saturday morning, and I was over the moon. Scotty is an absolute legend, and will no doubt make a great principal.

In other news,

Christmas is fast approaching, and today I went shopping with Mam for presents. It more or less turned into us looking for presents for me, and I settled on a fair amount of hockey gear (of which I paid for half… There was a lot). I got a ‘Montreal’ wooden stick (Regular Flex, Moderate Curve); Easton Synergy Shin Guards and Elbow Pads; and other minor accessories (Ie hockey tape, and a couple of pucks). My skates arrive from the US sometime soon, so I should have a complete set by the time winter starts.

Other than that, it hasn’t been that eventful.. Although the recent Old Boy’s got their VCE results, and as far as I can tell, they are all pretty good; Congratulations Guys:)

And That Is That,

The End,

6 Weeks of Nothing-ness 12127-1218-051

It’s that time of year again!!!

(Okay, that’s my nostalgic, BossToneS reference out of the way, I doubt anyone will get it, but if you do; High Five!)

Holidays are underway, and they’ve been pretty good so far.. I’ve been to the movies, built a…. something, and played a lot of Xbox 360. Other than that, I haven’t been up to much, basically just taking advantage of the lack of uniformity and being able to wing it.

I don’t have much planned across the next 6 weeks other than my uncle coming out from the Middle East for christmas. Speaking of which, the  Ice skates which I ordered for christmas are currently in Salt Lake City, UT; and arrive in Whitefish, MT within a day or two. After that, it should only be around 3-4 days for them to arrive here. Go saving 1000$ via purchasing overseas!

And that is that,

The End.
