Cue? What Cue?? 8107-2012-036
How can you call cues, when there aren’t any???
“You anticipate“.
Yesss…. I see, I must anticipate guess when the cues are, when I:
a) Haven’t seen the show before,
b) Don’t know what cues there are; and,
c) Have no clue where they go.
Oh well, not to worry… I’ll learn to read Belly’s mind…
As you might have gathered, “Fame” is coming along very nicely, however hectic, and looks to be on track to be ready for opening night.
Yesterday I was told by Hawley that I was calling the show, which I was (and still am) stoked about, however it has almost made my head explode with trying to keep up with non-existant cues.. Belly seems to think that I can mind read, and it seems like I might have to learn to do that.
I am gradually getting on top of the workload, and I’m fairly comforable with about half of the cues for the show, as they are already labelled, so I only have to find the line in the script. (The unlabeled ones are a fair bit harder, because you have no clue of what they are, let alone when they are meant to be brought in).
Today was a pretty fun day,
It started off with my Legal Presentation, which went really well, we were told that we did really well and were “The Best yet”.
After that, I headed to the sound bump-in, where we got a lot of stuff done, and I learned a heap.
At 1400ish we started to get organized for the run-through, which started a fair bit later than expected, and ran until about 1830.
Tomorrow we have a Tech day, where we’ll hopefully iron out most of the creases before Full-Dress, which is on Sunday.
And that is that,
The End.

Cues, cues, cues… You’ll get over it. You’ll find that the best way to remember where they are supposed to go is by screwing up and being yelled at by Belly… You won’t forget that one a second time…
Lol so true:p
I’ve got the hang of it though, except for this one part where there is like 10 cues within half a page…
